Description
The switching capacity of this optically coupled semiconductor
switch is 24-280 VAC at a maximum continuous current of 2 A. Due to the optical
separation of control from output circuit, there is no galvanic link between
control (processor, or computer) and output (power consumer such as motor). A
triac is used to apply power to the load during zero cross over of the AC
supply. This method keeps starting currents to a minimum, resulting in longer
equipment life and less electrical noise.
